


Born on February 7, 1992, in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, Irina Sharipova’s story began with a unique blend of cultural influences. Raised until age seven in Uzbekistan, she then moved to the village of Sviyazhskiy in Tatarstan to live with her grandmother. Sharipova’s heritage includes Uzbek, Russian, Ukrainian, and Tatar roots, which later influenced her global appeal. Her mother, Elena Sharipova, was herself a beauty queen, crowned Miss Bukhara in 1989, but Irina never met her father.
Academic Pursuits and Beauty Queen Beginnings
Her modeling career started by chance. A shopping trip led her to a “Miss Tatarstan” qualifying round, where organizers spotted her potential. Though inexperienced, Irina unexpectedly won the title on January 31, 2010. This victory catapulted her into the national spotlight, and she went on to be the first runner-up at the Miss Russia 2010 competition, securing a scholarship to study anywhere globally. She later represented Russia at Miss World 2010, finishing among the Top 25 semifinalists.

In 2012, Sharipova signed with Women Management, marking the beginning of her international modeling career. From then on, she walked the runway for iconic designers like Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, and Dolce & Gabbana, and in 2013, she landed her first magazine cover with Marie Claire. One of her career highlights was being selected to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show—a testament to her rising global recognition, even though visa issues prevented her from participating in 2017.
